Nursing EDification

Nursing EDification offers a weekend CNA program designed for students who can only attend classes on Saturdays and Sundays. The schedule runs for 10 weeks total. During the first five weeks, students meet for classroom instruction from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. After that, the remaining five weeks are dedicated to hands-on clinical training, which takes place on weekends from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This structure makes it possible for students to complete their training without interfering with weekday work or personal responsibilities.

The total cost of the weekend program is $1,540, and it includes all tuition and required materials. A $350 deposit is due within one week of submitting the application. Admission requirements include a $75 non-refundable application fee, interview, background and registry checks, drug screening, TB test or chest X-ray, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Class sizes are kept small to allow for more instructor support, and students receive assistance with job readiness and placement after completing the course. While job placement isn’t guaranteed, Nursing EDification’s career center helps students prepare resumes, practice interview skills, and connect with potential employers in the St. Louis area. Financial aid may be available through third-party funding sources, though availability isn’t guaranteed.

All classes take place at the school’s Saint Ann campus, located at 500 Northwest Plaza Pennridge Dr., Suite #1020. The next weekend session begins August 9, 2025. Applications can be submitted online or in person. For questions about the program or financial aid options, students are encouraged to contact the school directly at (314) 395-5099.

What to Do If You’re Looking for Weekend CNA Classes but Want More Options

If you’re hoping to find weekend CNA training in the St. Louis area but aren’t sure Nursing EDification is the right fit, you’re not out of luck. While it’s currently the only school offering a dedicated weekend schedule, there are still a few steps you can take to stay on track toward your certification.

First, consider evening CNA programs as an alternative. Many schools, like Aspire Healthcare Solutions, offer flexible hybrid formats with online classes and clinicals scheduled during late hours. These programs may fit your schedule just as well, especially if you can free up one or two weekday evenings.

Another option is to explore related roles in healthcare that offer weekend-friendly training, such as phlebotomy or patient care technician (PCT) programs. These roles can be a stepping stone into the healthcare field and may have shorter or more flexible training paths. Some schools in the area offer weekend phlebotomy classes or hybrid options that minimize weekday time commitments.

If weekend scheduling is a dealbreaker, it’s worth calling local training providers and asking if they plan to launch weekend CNA classes soon. Some schools may offer them based on student demand, even if it’s not listed publicly. Letting them know you’re interested can put you on a waitlist or priority contact list if new options open up.

Lastly, stay connected by checking this page regularly. We’ll keep it updated with any new weekend CNA programs in the St. Louis region as they become available.
