Nursing EDification CNA Program

What You Should Know:

Program Overview

Nursing EDification is designed to meet the needs of a diverse student population, especially those who need flexibility in how and when they study. Students can choose between in-person instruction, a hybrid model with online modules, evening-only classes, or weekend classes. Each option is structured with clear timelines and clinical requirements, allowing students to prepare for the Missouri State CNA exam in a matter of weeks.

The school markets itself as a supportive environment, with a mission centered on empathy, discipline, and personal development. Its founder, who built her own career from CNA to RN, brings a firsthand understanding of what new healthcare workers face. Students also benefit from job readiness and placement assistance after graduation, though it’s important to note that Nursing EDification does not guarantee employment.

Class Format Options

Daytime In-Person Program

This is a full-time option designed for students with daytime availability. The program runs for six weeks, starting with one full academic week followed by five weeks of split classroom and clinical days. Class takes place Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the first week. For the remaining five weeks, students attend class and lab work on Mondays and Tuesdays (8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.), and complete clinicals on Wednesdays and Thursdays (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.).

Tuition is $1,540, which covers all program costs. This option is ideal for students who work evening or weekend jobs and can commit their daytime hours to fast-track CNA training.

Hybrid Day Program

This format combines online, self-paced modules with scheduled clinical hours. It begins with a structured academic week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), similar to the in-person program. Afterward, students complete self-guided coursework and participate in clinicals either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The hybrid day course spans eight weeks and is best for students who are comfortable with independent learning but still want some structure through clinical experience. The tuition is $1,990, reflecting the added flexibility of the hybrid format.

Hybrid Evening Program

The evening hybrid program is tailored for those who can only attend after traditional work hours—ideal for working parents or full-time employees. The first week is spent attending in-person class Monday–Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

After that, students shift to online self-paced modules on Monday and Tuesday, followed by clinical shifts on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The course lasts eight weeks and costs $1,990. A $350 deposit is required within one week of submitting an application.

Weekend Program

For those who can only commit time on weekends, the weekend CNA program offers a 10-week schedule. The first five weeks are classroom-based, held Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The final five weeks shift to clinicals, conducted Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tuition for this format is $1,540, and like the evening program, a $350 deposit is required to secure a seat. This is one of the most flexible formats for students with weekday responsibilities.

Refresher Course

Nursing EDification also offers a refresher course for students who have completed nurse aide training in the past year or who have gone through UAP training or nursing fundamentals. This short program helps students sharpen their skills and prepare for the Missouri CNA exam. Participants must have an active TMU account and be eligible for the exam. The school offers supplemental support for both the knowledge and practical skills test portions.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Submit an application and pay a $75 non-refundable application fee
  • Complete an interview
  • Undergo a Family Care Safety Registry check
  • Pass a background screening
  • Provide a drug screen
  • Provide a TB test result or chest X-ray (if needed)
  • Submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Applications can be submitted online or in person. A $350 deposit is required shortly after application to confirm enrollment in hybrid and weekend classes.

Financial Aid and Job Assistance

While the school itself does not directly offer financial aid, students can request help from a student resource team who can guide them through applying for third-party funding sources. However, it’s important to understand that funding is not guaranteed.

Job placement is another area where the school provides support, but again, it does not promise employment. Nursing EDification does assist with resume-building, interview prep, and job search strategies. This can be especially helpful for those entering the healthcare field for the first time.

Instruction and Staff Experience

The standout feature of this program is its leadership. The school’s founder and director, Lahaundrea Blair, RN, BSN, has built her entire career in healthcare—starting as a CNA herself at age 17. Her journey from entry-level nursing assistant to registered nurse with instructor certifications offers real credibility. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in discipline, moral integrity, and compassion, values she emphasizes throughout the program.

Feedback from students confirms that the instructors are strict when needed but supportive and skilled. Mrs. Blair is actively involved in teaching and is consistently described as knowledgeable, motivating, and committed to student success.

Student Reviews and Feedback

Student testimonials paint a strong picture of what to expect. Many praised the school for its supportive environment and well-organized classes. One former student shared how the six-week course led to high-paying travel CNA contracts in less than a year. Others appreciated how the instructors made learning engaging and hands-on, particularly during clinicals.

The consistent theme across all reviews is that the program provides not just training, but confidence and direction in entering the healthcare field. However, it’s worth noting that success after graduation still depends on the student’s personal motivation, as job placement is not automatic.
